Youth & Teens
The physical, emotional, and social well-being of Eureka Springs children and youth has been a foundational commitment of the Eureka Springs Community Center since its inception. We launched an after-school program in partnership with the Eureka Springs School to provide a program of physical activities, educational enrichment, and nutritional support for children from kindergarten through fourth grade. The Community Center plans to resume the program at the Eureka Springs Elementary School when it can be fully staffed.
We look forward to coordinating summer programming with the Eureka Springs Public Library, Flint Street Back Our Kids, the middle school/high school and local businesses each year. The Community Center plans to provide group activities for youth ages 10-15 in our meeting rooms and gym in the near future.
The Community Center realizes that a dedicated space is essential to attract young people, grow our program, and support Eureka youth and parents. The renovation of an area off the lobby will begin soon. The creation of a safe, supervised space for Eureka Springs youth to hang out, access computers, play games, do homework, attend programs and have a snack will take our Community Center to the next level of service. Once a youth space is open for business, it will be a launching pad to create further programming and offerings.
