Boomers and Beyond Meet-Up!
“Seasoned Citizens” are invited to expand their social circles and their minds. Boomers and Beyond is designed to prove that you can “teach old dogs, new tricks.” Advisory Board Member, Kathy Remenar, is organizing our senior meetups. Lucky us!
Coming July 3rd, our fun and games group will be “gambling” their hard-earned pennies away playing several new card games and old favorites. Bring your “soon to be obsolete coins” and we will do our best to prepare you for Vegas.
If you really want to plan ahead, then mark July 17th with two stars. Our “Let’s Teach Old Dogs New Tricks” presenter will be Sue Hopkins. Many of you already know Sue since she has worked in health care and social services for many years. Trained as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Marriage/Family therapist, Sue served in Eureka Springs as a hospital case manager and rehab director and has helped to found multiple non-profits in Carroll County. She founded “People Helping People” in Eureka Springs and currently serves as its chairperson. Sue will share her expertise concerning Advanced Directives, “Get It In Writing”. You won’t want to miss this essential presentation.
In the meantime, don’t let aging get you down; it’s too hard to get back up again!!
Boomers and Beyond welcomes all Eureka residents. No Community Center membership is required and there are not costs for anything. If you are old enough to receive mail from AARP, this group is for you.
