Native Plant Collaborative Series – Glade Hike in Lake Leatherwood

Brittney Booth will be leading a glade hike on the Steven Foster Trail at Lake Leatherwood.. We hope you can join us and learn all about our glades at Lake Leatherwood. Please meet up in the Lake Leatherwood parking lot.

Brittney Booth, is a botanist and ecologist. She has a Master’s degree in flora of glade ecosystems in Northwest Arkansas. She is also a seed collector volunteer for Project Wingspan, an organization aiming to increase native pollinator-friendly habitats. Her passions include habitat restoration and conservation, botanical surveys, and dendrochronology.

She has previously conducted a comparative study of limestone and dolomite glades at the nearby Devil’s Eyebrow Natural Area as a graduate student at the University of Arkansas. Brittney is currently participating in a project to restore the glade habitats at Lake Leatherwood Park.
