Native Plant Collaborative Series – Growing Mushrooms

man standing in front of table with different mushroom varietiesAshley Hill, owner of Ozark Mountain Nibbly Organic Mushrooms, joins us today to share his knowledge about mushrooms, how he grows them, and how you can too. Ashley’s mushrooms find their way to some of the finest restaurants in the area and for very good reason!various types of mushrooms

Ashley’s program continues the series of free educational programs and workshops offered at the Eureka Springs Community Center and produced by the Eureka Springs Parks & Recreation, the Northwest Arkansas Master Naturalists, the Carroll County Master Gardeners, and Wild Ones – Ozark Chapter. These great groups have formed a collaborative to propagate native plants for use in Eureka Springs parks and to share their knowledge with the rest of us.

Native plant hikes and seed collection events will also begin this spring, with propagation of native plants in the community greenhouse beginning in the fall. Those who participate in volunteer workdays will receive free native seeds and native plants to take home with them.
