Community Mountain Bike Ride
Join the Carroll County Ozark Off-Road Cyclists for a 9:00 am start at the Eureka Springs Community Center for a loop around Eureka Springs awesome mountain bike trails.
We begin our ride from the Community Center through the Eureka Springs scenic neighborhoods to the Crescent Hotel. From the Crescent, we ride down the Crescent Trail to Harmon Park. From Harmon Park over and up to Larry Land before heading via the back door to Lake Leatherwood via Roark Rd. From the Roark Rd trailhead we ride down Twin Knobs and then ride a Bench Loop circuit. From Leatherwood we head back out Roark to the Riley Trail and the Spring Garden Mountain Bike Trail. For the adventurous, we ride to the Marble Flats trailhead off Mill Hollow and ride up What the Heck for a Beauty is Everywhere Loop to the Joy of Riding trail. From the bottom of Joy of Riding we take the pavement from Magnetic Spring for a leisurely town loop and much needed refreshment.
This ride will encompass Blue and Green trails and is not recommended for absolute beginners. There will be considerable climbing, this is Eureka Springs after all! This is a no drop ride. We will have sweeps to herd everyone along at a reasonable pace and for those needing assistance.
As usual…helmets required. Knee pads and elbow pads strongly recommended. Ensure your bike is in good operating condition. Bring enough water for a lengthy ride. This ride is not suitable for children unless they are gnarly little shredders.
